Word of Mouth & Internet Marketing Workshop
The purpose of this workshop is to assist you how to start a Word of Mouth or Internet Marketing Evangelism program. Here are some topics that we will cover in this workshop. After the workshop you will have all the tools to create your own Word of Mouth internet marketing program and see actionable results.
How to create a contagious Word of Mouth program:
1. Have a great product or service to sell
2. Your product or services must serve a purpose
Tips:
- Have a quick start guide and/or interactive training/demo CD and spread it all over via email and various web sites to start with. E.g. send it out on the Bit Torrent network
- Create a manual or FAQ with the focus on images. Run a contest who can create the best learning tips and tricks. This will identify evangelists that you can focus on.
To think about:
Do evangelists believe in your product?
Do they fight for you on blogs?
Do you know how to recruit them?
Have you ever asked for help? Ask and people will come
How to recruit active evangelists?
1. Identify and recruit the “Thunder people”
2. Hire someone to foster Internet marketing and grow the community
3. Create a budget for support and community
4. Integrate sales and marketing into how to join the community
5. Host meetings
6. Start conferences and do training seminars and demos for people.

Tips:
- Target the young people. Young people start trends and old people follow what the young ones are doing. (E.g. PT Cruiser, Mini cooper, Toyota Scion were made for young people but it turned out the old generation were the ones buying more than the young)
- Feature Customers in newsletters, RSS and blogs
- Help under-privileged with software/service. Social commitments
- Feature on our web site how to sign up and become active.
